The incarceration rate for drug abuse among talented young Black and Hispanic (some White and Asian) artists is higher than ever due to social ills, lack of education and basic job skills needed to be successfully compete or stay relevant in today’s economy.

Unfortunately, there are many brilliant young minds that are being wasted in jails and institutions. Mental health has a big part to play in drug abuse and crime as well. According to The Free Dictionary by Farlex; Mental Health is defined as

1. A state of emotional and psychological well-being in which an individual is able to use his or her cognitive and emotional capabilities, function in society, and meet the ordinary demands of everyday life.
